The Colorado Media Trackers website is reporting that Jared Polis may have violated House rules by using official resources to promote an out-of-district event...
Rep. Jared Polis (D-Colo.) may have violated House ethics rules last week when he used his official .gov website to broadcast the details of his visit to the High Park Fire Command Post, which is located outside of the congressional district Polis’ currently represents. Both the House ethics and administration committees have issued clear guidance prohibiting the use of official resources for out-of-district events. The recently completed decennial redistricting process added new territory to Polis’ district, but he will only represent the new areas if he is re-elected in November.

Eric Weissmann says he is offering voters "values that match the district's" in The Daily Camera Sunday.
"I'm a businessman, with a track record of achievement," Weissmann said recently. That background positions him to be the best Republican candidate to unseat fellow Boulder entrepreneur Jared Polis, the incumbent Democratic congressman, in this year's general election, he said.

In Case You Missed It: Weissmann Campaign Puts 2nd CD Race "On the Radar"
The Colorado Observer covered the news recently that Eric Weissmann has achieved the second level of the Young Guns program, an important test of the campaign's readiness to win in the newly competitive 2nd District:
The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) announced today that Eric Weissmann, a Republican candidate for the 2nd Congressional District, has advanced to "On The Radar" status in its "Young Guns" program.
"It is a testament to the organizational and fundraising momentum we have achieved in this race and shows that national Republicans are coming to the realization that Jared Polis is very flawed incumbent in a competitive seat," said Weissmann. "Not only must Congressman Polis answer for his unpopular budget busting, job-killing, and government-growing policies, but he must also take responsibility for his corrupt personal biotech and health care investments based on insider information as a member of Congress."

In Case You Missed It: Judge rules Eric Weissmann's petitions qualify him for GOP's 2nd CD primary
In exciting news today for the campaign, a Denver Circuit Court judge respected the wishes of over 1,000 Colorado Republicans and allowed Eric Weissmann onto the ballot. In his decision he also turned back the lawsuit filed by Colorado Democrats, allied with Jared Polis, to try and decide the election in the courtroom, not the ballot box.
From The Denver Post...
Republican Eric Weissmann will be on the ballot for the 2nd Congressional district primary, a Denver district court judge ruled this morning.
Judge Robert S. Hyatt ruled today that some, but not all of the signatures in question could be included. The allowed number were enough to put Weissmann over the 1,000-signature threshold for the June 26 ballot.
Hyatt also rejected arguments by the Colorado Democratic Party, which filed a motion to intervene stating that its own analysis determined Weissmann hadn't gathered a sufficient number of signatures, irrespective of the clerical errors.
Weissmann lashed out at Democrats today for what he called "unprecedented and outrageous" meddling in a Republican primary.
