(Denver, CO) -- Eric Weissmann, candidate for Congress in Colorado's 2nd Congressional District, this morning delivered 1,398 petition signatures to the Secretary of State's office to secure a position on the June 26 primary ballot. To gain access to the ballot, a congressional candidate must submit 1,000 signatures from registered Republicans inside the district.
"I am deeply grateful to the 1,398 individuals who have signed petitions to provide me access to the ballot in Colorado's Second Congressional District," said Weissmann. "The success of our petition-gathering campaign demonstrates strong grassroots support for my campaign to improve America's competitiveness, attract well-paying jobs, end deficit spending, and limit the size and scope of the federal government.
"Petitioning onto the ballot has built our campaign's volunteer base and allowed our campaign to talk to thousands of Republican voters in the Second Congressional District," concluded Weissmann. "It was a tremendous experience and a significant success for our campaign."
